About Rawnaq

Born in 2000 in Majdal Shams - Golan Heights, and studied Visual Art at the University of Haifa. my works deals with identity, home and the Utopian dream. Basically, I do pastel drawings on cloths, sculptures, oil paintings and digital works.

I love trying different things in my art, like drawing on cloth, mixing media and making sculptures. What makes my art special is how it brings back memories of being a kid and using colorful stuff from where I grew up, like fabrics, toys, and old clothes. Whenever I pick out materials, it's like going on a treasure hunt down memory lane, finding inspiration in the things from childhood. Each piece I create feels like a new adventure, full of surprises and stories waiting to be discovered.

The fascinating blend of different materials always catches my eye, leading me down paths of unexpected connections and delightful challenges that I can't resist. Experimenting with vibrant colors is my passion, coaxing them into mesmerizing blends that dance across the canvas. My art feels alive, each piece embodying a sense of movement and a hint of the surreal, like a glimpse into a dream world. I also love incorporating intricate patterns and shapes, adding layers of visual intrigue to my work.

Growing up in the Golan Heights, where the landscape is as complex as the questions of identity and belonging, I've found myself drawn to the concept of 'UTOPIA'—that elusive ideal world just beyond our reach. It's a theme that subtly weaves its way into my art, inviting viewers to ponder the complexities of our reality and the possibilities that lie beyond
